Arizona Rural Health Association's 2018 Exceptional Rural Health Professional award winner: Susan Kunz
The Arizona Rural Health Association, Inc. (AzRHA) was established in 1994 as an independent organization after serving as the Advisory Committee of the University of Arizona Rural Health Office (RHO) for many years. AzRHA is a not-for-profit corporation and while theycontinue to serve as the RHO advisory body, they have expanded to cover many other areas involving advocacy for rural healthcare programs.
The mission of the Arizona Rural Health Association is to be a leader in partnerships, education and policy for improving the health status of rural communities in Arizona.
Susan Kunz from Mariposa Community Health Center in Nogales Arizona is a long-time Community Action Board member and champion of both the AzPRC and rural health.On behalf of the AzPRC and the University of Arizona's College of Public Health we congratulate Susan Kunz for this well-deserved award and for continuing to be one of Arizona's best public health advocates.
Susan recieved this award on Thursday, July 26th at 11:30am, at the AZRHA annual luncheon held in Flagstaff Arizona.
