The first 2017 AzPRC Community Action Board meeting was a success! We listened to a presentation from the UA Center for Border Health Disparities, approved the implementation of a community engagement survey to evaluate CAB member experiences, and discussed CHW voluntary certification in Arizona. We said goodbye to one of our long time researchers, Dr. Kerstin Reinschmidt, who is headed for a new position at the University of Oklahoma. We’ll miss you Kerstin! We also celebrated our Co-Director Maia Ingram’s acceptance of the UA Billy Joe Varney Award for Excellence. Congrats Maia! Our next CAB meeting will be held on June 2nd, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
